2010 is going to be a busy show year. The Blue Ribbon Shows are an excellent place to get the horses show ring experience, plus are very competitive. As usual, we also hope to get to most of the AQHA shows. Grandma Gail is going to continue showing in Showmanship, and I hope to get into the ring again this year as well.
I will try to maintain this page so that the most recent show is always at the top of the page.
June 19, 2010 - Blue Ribbon Horse Show #5
It’s always so hard to get good photos during the night shows, and I never end up with any Western riding ones. This was our last show before our “summer break”. Next show isn’t until the end of August. It was a great show though with lots of high point awards by the end of the night.

Another fun Blue Ribbon Horse Show. We hope to start bringing some of the other horses to these shows as well.
May 1, 2010 - AzQHA Scholarship Show #1
Today was the first AzQHA Scholarship Show of 2010. It was great to have Charlotte with us again, the girls had a lot of fun.
April 18, 2010 - Blue Ribbon Horse Show #3
It’s starting to feel a lot like summer, but we still had a great time at the show. Everyone including Louie appreciated the shade that we brought!
March 28, 2010 - SAQHA Shamrock Show
It was soooo windy in Tucson today! A lot of the horses were a little nervous, but Louie wasn’t phased a bit. He even earned his first AQHA points today! .5 with a 2nd place in Novice Youth Hunter under Saddle, and 1.0 with (2) 2nd place finishes in equitation. It was a great day. The AQHA youth had a silent auction for Easter Baskets at this show. Brittany made a “Doggie Care” basket and also a “Twilight” basket. All the baskets were great, and the money earned will help out our AzQHA youth team.

Grandma got another 1st in showmanship and Brittany got both Grand Champion High Point awards in Western and a Grand and Reserve High Point in English. The Blue Ribbon shows are so much fun, the competition is always great, but everyone is really nice too.
February 7, 2010 - Blue Ribbon Horse Show #1
Everything really came together for this show. Grandma Gail Got a 1st in both of her Showmanship classes. Brittany came home with High-Point Champion in Western and Reserve Champion English under Judge A, and High-Point Champion Western and English under Judge B. Louie had a great trail pattern with elevated logs, bridge, gate, side-passing, and backing through the “L”. He came out in 2nd under both judges! Congratulations to Charlotte for getting a Reserve High Point in English!
January 30, 2010- Sun Circuit AQHA Horse Show
What a great experience! The classes were huge and the competition was the best. We only went on Saturday for Showmanship and Hunt Seat. Louie placed 7th in Hunter Under Saddle!
January 9, 2010- Arizona National AQHA Horse Show
The first show of the year went great. Louie has taken his slow sweet time when it comes to maturing, but he’s finally getting there. He is starting to understand his job in the show ring, and really enjoys it. Both Brittany and Grandma Gail placed well at this show.
